Well I was going to go down the the swell or Moab to do some biking but the weather has decided to be a fickle bitch again this weekend and it doesn't seem worth it. So! I will most likely try to bike around here, probably do a bit of fishing and maybe some golf. oh yeah, I have to start getting my shit together for a river trip I'm taking at the end of the month

If the weather isn’t bad (it’s been bad all week) I’m planning to take my bike to a nearby car/bike meet and take some pics. I could take the car but there will probably be like a billionty Toyobarus there.

This sounds fantastic!

We used to play a similar take on golfing in the desert in Arizona. Except it involved using a handgun to shoot at and launch the golfball in the direction you want, in an effort to reach a specified object in the distance that served as the hole (usually a tree). So really, not the same at all. But lots of fun. haha

Here’s an idea: get some explosive golf balls and hit ‘em into the lake, then collect any fish that float up. Wait. That might not be as relaxing as either fishing or golfing.

That sounds way more fun, but it also sounds like a game you don’t want to have a beer in your hand while playing. I think I’ll go find some old fishing rods at a garage sale of something and try golfishing, never done it, but it sounds like it would be a blast.

I’ve got a busy day tomorrow, but I’m hoping I can fit a quick trip to the shooting range in the afternoon... or alternatively I can try out the Forza Apex demo if I download that tonight.

Sunday is Civil War in the morning, probably followed by a trip to my favorite brewery and eatery. Then mentally preparing myself for another busy week.

We actually used to drink beers while shooting all the time. We just didn’t drink enough to get drunk and always exercised the utmost caution/safety. haha

Whatchya takin’ to the range? Maybe I’ll get started on my FOID card and do a little shopping this weekend. (Living in Illinois compared to Arizona sucks as a shooting enthusiast.) I wouldn’t mind getting back into steel shooting.

While they are plowing the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier and re-installing the guard rails the road is open to bicycles and foot traffic, it’s probably the most amazing ride I’ve ever done in my life.

Ouch. Yeah, that’ll hurt.

Right now I’ve got a Beretta .22 and my G19 that I shoot pretty much every time I go to the range. I’ve got AR15 that I haven’t shot in a few months (indoor ranges aren’t that fun with rifles), so I really should get it out one of these days. Or just sell it depending on how the election goes.

Well you’re buying the plans and templates.

I’m sure there are lots of free plans out there, from people who’ve built stuff. I just wanted to make sure I got everything right, and didn’t feel like doing a lot of planning. (e.g. I was lazy lol)

Yea, that’d be the wiser way, but I didn’t have an appointment so I needed to go to the salon straight after work and hope for a quick walk in. Ended up getting in and out pretty fast, and the guy who did them is also a sport biker, so we had stuff to chat about, then went home and mowed the lawn. Magically no smudges :)
